The ROPP pipe adventure began in 1869, in Baume-les-Dames, Doubs, when Eugène-Léon Ropp set up his workshop. In its early days, the brand met with great success thanks to its cherry-wood pipes, which were highly prized at the time.
In 1917, production moved to Saint-Claude, in the Jura region, and turned to briar pipes, a material emblematic of the region. After decades of flourishing activity, the company finally closed in 1991.
That same year, Chapuis-Comoy & Cie took over the brand, giving it a second lease of life while preserving traditional manufacturing methods. To this day, ROPP pipes captivate with their retro aesthetics....
This pipe is made from a 70-year-old briar. The bowl is proportionally higher than average, but still doesn't merit the term “Chimney”!
The black sandblasted finish and horn stem add a chic touch to this pipe, which is smoked without a filter.
No unpleasant surprises with Fumerchic! The pipe you see is the pipe you get!
