Chacom, founded in 1825, is an emblematic Jura brand, recognized the world over for its expertise in briar pipe making. With its rich tradition, Chacom combines ancestral techniques with innovative designs to meet the expectations of pipe smokers in France and around the world.
Discover Chacom's Maigret 1201 natural pipe, made by the famous manufacturer near Saint Claude, one of France's leading pipe-making centres.
The natural finish reveals the briar grain on the bowl and shank.
The bowl has a good capacity: this relatively short pipe needs to be smoked calmly.
A small, flat bottom allows the pipe to be laid flat.
This pipe can be smoked with or without a 9mm filter.
Our verdict: A quality pipe.
FumerChic's tip: Don't leave unused tobacco in the pipe.
Once you've finished your pipe, empty the ashes and remaining tobacco immediately to prevent unpleasant odours from permeating the wood. For the same reasons, if you smoke with the 9mm filter, wait until the pipe has cooled down and then remove it too to allow the pipe to dry. Otherwise, air cannot circulate through the shank and stem, and the briar will not dry completely.
For every purchase of this pipe you will be gifted with : a classic 3-way pipe tool (sezame) and a packet of pipe cleaners .
With Fumerchic the pipe you see is the pipe you receive !
